The ointment made at Pollok Country Park in Glasgow was as follows:
1 spoon beeswax
2 spoons grated cocoa butter
5 spoons sweet almond oil
Melt all together then mix in up to 10 drops of essential oils of your choice. This makes a soft ointment that holds its shape well, but melts easily and is easy to spread. Supplies can be bought at
www.napiers.net – Essential oils, dried herbs, etc.
www.baldwins.co.uk – Essential oils, herbs, ingredients, waxes, cocoa butter, bottles, jars, soap making supplies.

hi monica,
Thank you for posting the recipes on your website and for a very enjoyable day yesterday. I was hoping to try making some ointments and was wondering where I would be able to get hold of the metal tins you provided.
many thanks
atiya
Hi Atiya
I’m glad you enjoyed the day. You should be able to get the tins from http://www.thesoapkitchen.co.uk in small amounts.
Best wishes
Monica
Hi Monica,
Thanks for an enjoyable day at Pollok, looking forward to the next session. Really good feedback.
Got a lot of interest from other groups would be great to carry it on after next year.
Are all the other recipes going to be in the Edinburgh groups publication?
Romena
Many thanks for your comments, Romena.
It would be great to do more workshops next year. I have just published some extra pages including a page of links to Suppliers. So I hope everyone will try more recipies at home!
Best wishes, Monica

Hi,
I live in the house that W H Box built for himself in Diptford.
Also have photos of his gravestone and book articles etc. Do let me know if you are interested.
